In an ever changing world,
in the midst of its non ending trouble, it is
good to know that we have a friend to count
upon. A friend that is so loving, caring, wise
and mighty. A friend that does not change, hide
away and that is always there. It is great to
have you Jesus...

Feast of the
Nairuz 2008
“Nairuz”
is a Persian word that means “the new day.” The
Coptic Calendar begins with the year 284 A.D.,
the first year of the reign of the Emperor
Diocletian, who, in 303 A.D., ordered the
persecution and execution of hundreds of
thousands of Coptic Christians. The Church
celebrates this period because it was a time
when the believers offered a true witness to
Christ through the Church of Martyrs.
From Father Pishoy Kamel (1931 - 1979 A.D.)
