“Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, before the difficult days come, and the years draw near when you say, I have no pleasure in them” (Ecc.12:1)
The 18-25s youth meeting will be given a new facelift and we need you to help us! We’re giving you the power to decide and implement the way you want your youth meeting to run. So here’s your chance to stand up and take an active role!
We need you and your friends to take up the following roles:
Spiritual:
1. Topics (preparing topics list for the youth, and inviting the speakers to deliver the topics)
2. Visitations (visiting the sick in hospitals, the elderly in nursing homes, and the youth)
3. Opening prayers and hymns
4. Organise topics for camps
5. Organise the group that will handle the El Nayrouz celebrations every year
6. Establish a youth magazine
7. Arrange for youth masses
8. Arrange for spiritual days
9. Form a youth choir
Public Relations:
1. Dealing with sister churches
2. Dealing with COYA
3. Dealing with Bishopric of the youth in Egypt
4. Dealing with the church committee
Sports:
1. Form teams for all kinds of sports youth are interested in
2. Enrol the youth teams in the appropriate competition
3. Prepare for the end of year celebration for the succussed teams
4. Prepare competitions between dioceses
IT:
1. Manage / create a youth database
2. Manage the cathedral website
3. Multimedia services.
Social Service:
1. Outings and activities
2. Trips interstate and overseas
3. Organise camps
