Our Church

Established in 1969 by the Late Fr Mina Nematalla under the guidance of His Holiness Pope Kyrillos VI, St Mary & St Mina's Church was one of the first Coptic Orthodox Churches outside of the Nile Valley.

Since its establishment, the church of St Mary & St Mina has catered to the needs of its congregation; young and old. Some of her fruits are the myriad of services, servants, deacons, Priests, Monks, Nuns and even Bishops who were brought up in the church and have gone on to dedicate their lives to Christ.

In 2002, the Church was relocated to the current site in Bexley after changes to Sydney Airports runway led the federal government to relocate residents and owners of the area to other properties.

The Church is also home to St Mary & St Mina's Coptic Orthodox College and is home to, and the throne of His Grace Bishop Daniel, Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Sydney & Affiliated Regions.
